Transfer Credits are granted using the post-secondary courses you completed at accredited institutions before being admitted to 91影视. Accepted Transfer Credits impact your program curriculum by preventing you from repeating coursework and graduating sooner. You must follow the instructions on the Transfer Credit website to apply for these credits.

If you have exceeded your time span, you will be Discontinued and unable to enroll in classes. You'll need to seek a time span extension to continue your studies. The Chair of each department does the granting of time span extensions.

In the Part-time and Full-time degree programs, there are a total of 40 courses. As a Direct Entry student, 20 courses (plus your assigned Reachback courses) are needed to complete your BComm. Full-time students may enroll in a maximum of seven (7) courses/semester; part-time students may enroll in a maximum of three (3) courses/semester.

Co-op education at the Ted Rogers School of Management is designed to provide students with work experiences that complement their academic studies. Co-op integrates a student鈥檚 academic learning with workplace learning in fields relevant to the student鈥檚 educational and professional goals.

Co-op students should be aware that co-op work terms and course-based semesters alternate. As such, course sequencing should be talked about with your program advisor.

Your selected major will appear on your degree and transcript. Students enrolled in the School of Business Management can choose to major in one of the subject areas below:

Accounting and Finance is no longer being offered as a major within the School of Business Management. Students interested in majoring in Accounting or Finance must apply directly to the School of Accounting and Finance (opens in new window) 

After successfully completing all degree course requirements, you will receive a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm (Hons)) degree from the Ted Rogers School of Management at 91影视. Your diploma will also include your major; however, if you choose to do a minor, it will not show up on your diploma. Minors are documented on your official transcript.

The first year is fun and exciting but will also involve a lot of work! During the year, you will meet tons of new people and have a lot of new academic experiences (lectures, labs and tutorials, to name a few). This is a time to explore the different opportunities and resources at the Ted Rogers School of Management and 91影视.

Your first year in the program will be a general year where you take several introductory courses that expose you to different subject areas. This will prepare you for the rest of your studies and help you decide what to major in. The School of Business Management is made up of seven unique majors. Your major is the subject area that you specialize in, meaning that there will be a certain amount of mandatory courses that you will need to take in that subject area to complete your major.

You can only declare your minor after you have applied to graduate. After you have done this, the option to select a minor (opens in new window)  will appear on MyServiceHub.

During your first year, in your second semester, you can declare your major once online through MyServiceHub. This takes place during the course intention period near the end of the second semester in March. If you no longer have access or want to make subsequent changes after you have declared your major in the first year, you must use the  (PDF file) Plan Change Form. The Advisement Report is a tool for Full-time Undergraduate degree students that shows all of the courses you have taken, been granted transfer credit for, or are enrolled in, as well as those courses needed for graduation.

We strongly recommend running an Advisement Report (opens in new window)  before and after adding or dropping courses and before applying to graduate.

Prerequisites are courses that must be completed (or transfer credits granted in the course) before the second course is completed. Many courses have prerequisites associated with them, and they are listed at the end of the specific course description in the Undergraduate Calendar (opens in new window) .

If you are missing a prerequisite, you will be prevented from adding the course. Many courses list as part of the prerequisite the phrase 鈥渙r Direct Entry鈥�. This means that, as a Direct Entry student, you are deemed to have met the prerequisites for the course as long as the prerequisite is not an assigned Reachback and as long as the course is one of your required or professional courses.

Plan the sequence of your courses so that you will have the appropriate prerequisites for any course you want to take. Always check the new Undergraduate Calendar for each year for any changes.

You can have a maximum of two exams in one calendar day. Please refer to the current Exam Policy for more information.

Part-time Students admitted into the Part-time degree program should follow the requirements of the calendar printed in the year they were admitted (i.e. A student is admitted into the Part-time degree program in Fall 2026, so they would follow the calendar printed 2026/2027). Please keep in mind that course prerequisites may change over your academic career, and courses may be added/removed from your program.

Full-time students admitted into the full-time degree program should follow the requirements for the year they are admitted and review the new calendar for each subsequent year for the new semester鈥檚 requirements. i.e. A student is admitted into the program in Fall 2025 in year one and therefore follows the 2025/2026 calendar for the first year, 2026/2027 for second-year requirements, 2027/2028 for third-year requirements and 2028/2029 for the final year requirements.

Majors will be displayed on your degree and transcript issued by 91影视. Minors are only listed on your transcript.

That depends on when you are planning to start.

Starting Fall 2026: The existing Retail Management and Hospitality and Tourism Management programs are accepting their final cohort. You may apply directly to either program.

Starting Fall 2027 or later: You will apply to the Business Management program. Once admitted, you will select your Major 鈥� Retail, or Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management 鈥� during the second semester of your first year.

Students admitted in Fall 2026 will be the final cohort of the existing programs, but this does not affect the quality or completeness of your education. Full program support will be provided for the duration of your studies. All required courses will remain available, and you will graduate with the credential you were admitted to pursue.

All students admitted to Business Management complete a common first year that builds a foundation in core business disciplines. During the second semester of that first year, you will declare your preferred Major. After declaring your Major, you will begin Major-specific coursework in your second year.

There are currently 10 Majors available within Business Management, including the two new Majors launching in 2027.

If you are currently enrolled in either program, your studies are not affected. You will continue under the same program, curriculum, and requirements you were admitted to. Our commitment is to provide full program support to ensure that you are able to complete your studies and graduate.

Yes. All courses required for graduation from the current Retail Management and Hospitality and Tourism Management programs will continue to be offered for as long as students remain enrolled in those programs. Should there be any changes due to phasing out of curriculum, students will be notified of the recommended course substitutions.

No. Students who graduate from the existing Retail Management or Hospitality and Tourism Management programs will receive the credential associated with those programs, exactly as expected.
