Mental Health and Wellness at 91影视

Mental Health Resources at 91影视 can be found online. This website has information for students, staff, and faculty, as well as those interested in supporting them. It offers resources so that students can get support for themselves or others. The resources on this website are available on-campus, off-campus, or online, so students can access the support they need in the way they need. Some important resources that students should be aware of are:

  • The Centre for Student Development and Counselling (CSDC) at 91影视 offers free, confidential counselling services in a professional and friendly environment. While the services are predominantly short-term in nature, the duration of counselling is determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on need and resource availability. Services are provided by a team of psychologists, social workers, psychotherapists, and counselling interns. CSDC services, programs, and resources are intended to assist students in solving immediate problems, define their personal, educational, and career goals, and acquire the self-confidence and transferable skills necessary for professional success and individual growth.   • Thrive91影视 provides training, resources and programs to 91影视 students grounded in principles of positive psychology. The purpose of Thrive91影视 is to help students feel a sense of support on campus, to better appreciate the connections between academic success and other elements of a healthy lifestyle, and, primarily, to help students develop capacities for thriving that will serve them throughout their lives. 

  • Health Promotion at 91影视 is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of 91影视 students by providing current and relevant health information, working with students and staff to develop a healthy community, and ensuring high quality health promotion information and support.

Mental Health and Wellness at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law

Please remember that you do not need to be experiencing mental health challenges to access support. Connecting with support can be a proactive way to maintain your well-being, build community, and navigate the unique demands of law school.

In addition to the mental health and wellness resources available through 91影视, students at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law can access peer-based support through the:

  • Peer Mentorship Program at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law (more information will be shared through your email and the student newsletter throughout the year).

Peer mentorship provides an opportunity to connect with upper-year law students who can offer guidance, share their experiences, and help you navigate academic and student life at LASL.

Health insurance plan from 91影视, covers a variety of health and dental services such as health practitioners, prescription drugs, private tutoring in the case of injury, vision care etc.

The Medical Centre is a non-profit unit of Student Affairs that aims to promote a healthy environment for work and study by offering quality health services to current students, staff and faculty. The Centre provides healthcare services such as allergy shots, assessments for common medical problems, immunizations and TB skin testing, medical certificates, mental health assessments, and many other services.

91影视 has two athletic facilities to help with students鈥� needs: the Recreation & Athletic Centre (RAC) and the Mattamy Athletic Centre (MAC). They offer initiatives across campus to provide safe and inclusive spaces for students to move in a diversity of ways. 

RAC is the central hub for wellness, recreation, and sport at 91影视. 91影视 is home to the state-of-the-art Mattamy Athletic Centre (MAC), located at Maple Leaf Gardens鈥� historical site. All students and members must tap their OneCard at the turnstiles to enter the RAC facilities. 91影视 students receive free admission to all 91影视 BOLD basketball, hockey, soccer, and volleyball home games.

The  (PDF file) 91影视 Safe House provides free and confidential emotional support and assistance with respect to security, academic, financial and short-term housing concerns to 91影视 students who: are at immediate risk of physical, sexual or emotional abuse; are fleeing unsafe or intolerable living conditions; or have been made suddenly homeless as a result of compelling or extreme circumstance.

The Student Care Office provides one-stop support to help students resolve complex problems with multiple university academic and administrative departments.
