Seva is an AI care companion for families raising children with autism or ADHD. It turns parents’ voice notes, medical and therapy reports, and school updates into an organised care history and clear summaries for appointments and school meetings and prefill forms and applications.

For many parents, managing their child’s care means searching through emails before appointments, remembering when sleep or behaviour changed, and passing information between school, therapy and medical teams. Each person may know something important, but parents are often the only connection between them. They carry the responsibility of making sure nothing gets missed, alongside work, family life and their own need for rest.

Canadian data shows the scale of the need. Statistics Canada’s 2024 survey found that, among children aged 1 to 17 across the ten provinces, 3.8% had an autism diagnosis and 9.6% had attention deficit disorder, with or without hyperactivity, as reported by parents. The Public Health Agency of Canada also recognises the difficulties families face navigating services, and the importance of communication and support for caregivers.

Seva began with our founder Zain’s experience caring for her son, who has autism, ADHD and complex care needs. She understands the effort involved in keeping everyone informed, explaining the same history again, and worrying that an important detail might be forgotten. She saw parents, clinicians, therapists and educators working hard to help, often without access to information that could make their work easier. That experience became the reason to build Seva.

With Seva, a parent can record a quick voice note after a difficult morning, upload an assessment or save a teacher’s update. These details become part of a history they can return to, helping them follow changes in sleep, medication, behaviour and learning over time. Before an appointment, Seva brings the relevant information together into a summary the family can review and share. Families choose what to share and who receives it.

We also want a child’s strengths, interests and progress to be remembered. A new friendship, a skill learned or something that made the school day easier can help the people supporting that child understand them better.

Our mission is to take some of the remembering, organising and explaining off families’ shoulders, and help the people caring for their child work together. We want parents to have more time and energy to enjoy being with their children, and to feel supported themselves.
